Do you have a library card? This month, we are celebrating all the wonderful things you can do with a library card here at the Alexandria-Monroe Public Library:
- Check out books, audio books, magazines, movies, music, and video games
- Request other books and materials from Evergreen Indiana Libraries
- Access local resources such as Inspire, Ancestry, and more through our public computers
Any student attending Alexandria-Monroe Public Schools or St. Mary School in Alexandria is eligible for a free Student Card for the duration of the school year. Student Cards allow youth to check out books on our shelves and through our digital apps like Hoopla and Libby! Stop in and visit Youth Services for an application. A parent or guardian will need to fill out some information such as a home address, a valid driver's license or photo ID number, and contact information.
To see all types of library cards that we offer, along with requirements, click here! Please note that when applying for or renewing a library card, we require a photo ID and a second proof of address, such as a utility bill, hunting license, or voter registration.
Even without a library card, you can still use many of our services! Just ask for a Guest Pass for our public computers. Our library programs also never require a library card - check out our offerings here!
